Should I Buy Google Cash Detective?
Chris Carpenter, the original Google Cash boy is releasing GC Detective (Google Cash Detective) tomorrow. It’s going to cost $997 upfront plus $97 monthly or $1997 for one year. I still haven’t decided whether to buy it or not.
Though I can afford GCDetective, I still have to find a valid reason to pay 1000 bucks upfront and 100 bucks monthly. The 100 bucks per month is justifiable considering that the GCD is a HUGE database driven browser based service. Personally I would have liked it at $397 (or maximum $497) upfront and $97 monthly.
My concern is a flood of PPC marketing related products has been already arived in 2009. PPC Classroom, PPC Kahuna, PPC Webspy (review coming soon!), PPC Bully, Google Shadow and PPC Ninja (review shortly) etc. There may be many more which I would not have heard of… And dozens more to follow soon.
PPC Guru Promise!
Every Guru is claiming that they came up with ultimate solution and selling other Gurus’ products the next day with a bunch of added bonuses. People are forced to buy new products only for bonuses! It looks like Gurus are making real money by selling their marketing products to other marketers. (Not a surprise)
The Global recession affected everyone including top internet marketers. People like John Reese, Marlon Sanders started affiliate promotion regularly. Two years back John Reese promised his list subscribers that he would permanently stop promoting others’ products. (Saith Godin says “All Markters Are Liars”, including you and me!)
Coming back to Google Cash Detective:
I did not buy GCD version 1 which was limited to only 500 members. Later I heard some horrendous stories from GCD members. The software had many limitations and tons of BUGS! But this time Chris spent many months testing it with 200 Beta testers. Sure, there would be many more bugs and limitations in version 2 as well. But overall, it looks like ready for some serious action.
Google cash detective is definitely not for newbie marketers. You should be ready to spend at least few thousand dollars on PPC ad cost each month. Starting a direct-affiliate link adwords campaign without fundamental PPC knowledge would drain out your funds quickly. I highly recommend getting a copy of Beating Adwords for new and intermediate Adwords and PPC marketers.
Also PPC marketing resources available at Wealthy Affiliate is of top quality which is recently updated with latest information.
My final recommendation; buy expensive product like Google Cash detective only if you have enough positive cash flow. I recommend Google Cash Detective, but won’t promote it with my affiliate link. Hi RB, thanx for writing this article. i wold love to buy this product. but i’m on tight budget and don’t want go further into debt.
I registered for Google Cash Detective, after receiving numerous e-mails from Chris Carpenter and on the 10th March 2009 paid $350. On the 20th March 2009 and every day thereafter I have been trying to send e-mails cancelling and requesting a full refund (under my rights to cancel period). However, is it not strange that all my e-mails sento to several addresses including their support department are all being returned or blocked. Yet when I contacted them with queries I was alway replied to. OBVIOUSLY this is a scam, they take your money and do not adhere to anyones rights. DONT TOUCH CHRIS CARPENTER WITH A BARGE POLE.

Have you got refund?
Out of curiosity I purchased it on the day it was launched. Not because I really needed it- but I wanted it. Using their data I can start my business service. (like selling individual competition report, spy report, keywords list etc) So I’m just thinking about some possibilities.
GCD server crashed (really) on launch day so I had login problem. I suggest you to login to the members area and submit a new ticket. Or send email to gcdlogin(at)gmail.com — that’s Chris’s priority email for his members. For me Chris seems to be an honest guy and ethical marketer.
But all marketers are liars including you and me
It’s shame that people want to pay for something and if it has a little bug that needs tweeking they jump ship before giving the creator time to fix the problem.
I purchased at the same time as another commentor did and I have had NO problems with it – in fact new features have been added that are awesome and new things added all the time so I can’t wait for the next upgrad of the software…
I’m not disappointed…at all… I love it…
Those that jumped in when it opened may have only stayed around while it was first getting up and running. Then quickly asked for a refund… Those people should be screaming let me have it back….
Yes it did have a few pitfalls when it first came open but it has improved drastically.
The doors for GCD have re-opened for anyone that wants to use this awesome resource.
Best of all… Chris has decided to give everyone FREE ACCESS…
A Try before you Buy with no strings attached approach to prove to those skeptics that this really “IS” a tool you need to be using.
