Jeff Walker’s Free Product Launch Formula : How to Launch a Products like a Guru?
So you missed Jeff Walker’s PLF2 for some reason…good for you. I’m going to tell you exactly how to do a great product launch without investing on Product Launch Formula!
First of all, I haven’t bought PLF2. But I’ve been following Jeff ever since he announced PLF2 & read his private (secret) JV blog. Now I know exactly how Jeff did it. (I also observed other great launches like StomperNet, Pipeline Profit, Butterfly Marketing & Mass Control etc.)
Alright, are you ready to launch your next stupid freaking ebook?
Great!
First, you need to find a cash spending desperate market. The market should follow Guru’s & should be always looking for the next big thing (think about make money, weight loss, gadgets, video games, computer stuffs, love, dating & cell phones etc)
Have a look at my 10 step product launch formula.
Step 1: Build & Warm up a Target List:
You need to build a list of prospective buyers. This can be done by giving away free content heavy report/video presentation or Webinar. Only give away the content to opt-in subscribers…that way you will be building a targeted list.
Once your product is ready give away the original content (the “stuff”) When your target market get delighted with your “stuffs” they would be willing to pay for your fluffs & fillers! Remember, you are selling “dream” …the actual product is irrelevant!
Step 2: Buzz Building – More Free Content
Periodically you should be giving away more free content to your list subscribers…this will build buzz & curiosity.
Step 3: More Buzz Building – Social Proof
Get some audio/video testimonials from your friend, Guru or God! The point is you should convince your audience that your product is working like a miracle.
Step 4: Find JV Partners & Offer Killer Bonus
If you don’t have a large list then the only option left for you is JV networks. Make a JV offer through few popular networks. The only way you can get quality JV partners is by offering them irresistible gift/bonus offers. For example, Jeff Walker offerred a MacBook Pro for just 700 opt-in subscribers!
There are many other creative ideas like you promoting your JV partner’s product if they make at least 10 sales etc.
Step 5: Create Extra Buzz
Few days before launch shoot your list saying that you are hammered with tons of questions & so you are working day & night updating your product. And finally postpone your launch date. With the additional update this product is is going to shake the world!
Step 6: Panic Attack
The day before launch announce that your product will be available for sweet 24 hours only because you have very limited copies of ebook! After 24 hours it’s gone FOREVER!
Step 7: The Hysteria Kicks up
On launch day tell your list members you’ll open the product one hour before general public.
Step 8: The Pandemonium Effect
30 minutes after launch unplug your web server & shoot email to your list saying your server crashed due to traffic overflow (though you only 8 visitors!)
After an hour replug the server & shoot another mail saying you worked on your butt to run-up the server.
Step 9: Sold Out
Even if you haven’t made a single sale remove the order button & stamp “SOLD OUT” banner. Don’t forget to collect emails for your “priority notification list” when the products available again.
Step 10: Extend Your Offer.
Be a nice guy!
Lots of lame excuses you can give like, server crashed; lots of people placed half dozen orders because they didn’t receive order confirmation mail due to technical problems; many people missed it because of holiday etc.
Bonus Tip: Step 11
Few days after launch make FINAL offer to your list saying that there are 13 copies available due to refund (and sell 130 , 1300 or ‘N’ number of copies if there are buyers)
End of Poor Man’s Product Launch Formula
Does it work? I don’t know.
However, this is exactly how Jeff & other Guru’s did very successful product launch.
Have a great Product Launch & let me know your success or failures
