Nokia battery under trouble-Replace now

If your Nokia cell phone is equipped with BL-5C batteries, it is advised to take a re-look on them and replace it if necessary

Dear readers, if you have a Nokia cell phone containing BL-5C batteries, then check it and replace if necessary. The reason is; manufacturing defect in batteries. Result: Batteries may explode or a short circuit may cause while recharging the set.

Earlier, Nokia adopted more than 46 million BL-5C batteries, which were manufactured by Matsushita Company between Dec 2005 and Nov 2006. There were many complaints of over heating and other related problems while recharging. This may result in short circuit and explosion of the set.

After learning on the problem, Nokai has come forward to replace these batteries.

How to check the defective battery?
Go to nokia.com and click “more information concerning battery replacement” there you will have to scroll to next page “product advisory” And enter the 26-digit battery identification number (you can see this number on the back of the battery) and you will be advised a replacement if necessary.

If replacement has to be made, you will have to wait for some time as Nokia has to send you the battery through courier. Also you will get an empty packet along with a new battery, for sending back the old-defected one.
