You must have wondered once in your lifetime about how does the universe work?

Last week I saw an awesome documentary about the most expensive scientific experiment ever, taking place in 2007 in Geveva, Switzerland. A must see on vidipedia.org.

I came across Vidipedia.org a few weeks back. This is a web site which is similar to a Encyclopaedia Wiki, but instead uses videos as a basis for its information. And that is very clever for any web site developer to post information online to attract global audience.

The second video I saw was about Web 2.0 and the development of the web from the start. I have been posting quite a few videos recently, but this one gives quite a clear message.

The basic idea behind the website is “Now You Know.” The web site also features videos explaining and ofcourse, making sense of how the machines, gadgets and technology function in conjunction. There are good and easy-to-understand video reviews of gadgets, cars and technology.

This is a definite alternative to text blogging and it’s more informative and spontaneous. I like the way this is evolving to more real kind communication. This form of video blogging will start to become more common and it won’t be restricted to just information, especially when PC laptops get web cams and video with mobile devices becomes more cost effective.

Having a threaded conversation of video posts could be the breakthrough in looking to engaging the greater majority with the networked model i.e. those who are perhaps not comfortable with the work time and nature of text blogging .

Vidipedia is a FREE Video Encyclopedia that anyone can edit and it is the first wiki on the internet to feature unlimited, streaming video as a media option. Users can edit any page or video they like, creating an organized archive of digital media.

It is yet another place for people to engage in new ways with video by sharing, commenting on, and viewing videos. Slowly it is growing into an entertainment destination with people watching more than 70 million videos on the site daily.
