Wisegeek.com – Get Answers To Anything

Ever though about what does 200 Calories look like?
I came across wisegeek.com when I was looking up for some answer on food and health. Like what is the minimum amount of [tag-ice]calories[/tag-ice] you must maintain in your body? I have been reading through alot of articles and answers on wisegeek.com under health topic.
Moreover, the topics are not limited to health.
As the web site’s unostentacious tagline promises “clear answers for common questionsâ€, the site is fairly popular in the Great Wide World of Intarnet, boasting an Alexa rating that hovers between 5,000 and 10,000 on a weekly basis.
While browsing I read quiet a few articles that have been published. Some of the questions on wisegeek.com are common, some are self-selected and quite eclectic. For instance, what is a Space Pier? what is a folksonomy? or what is a hypertelescope?
Moreover did you know that some foods have significantly more calories than others? I wondered, what does the difference actually look like? Wisegeek.com has different pictures on it.
And each of the photographs represents 200 [tag-tec]calories [/tag-tec] of the particular type of food; the images are sorted from low to high calorie density. When you consider that an entire plate of broccoli contains the same number of calories as a small spoonful of peanut butter, you might think twice the next time you decide what to eat.
You have a fixed amount of calories to “spend” each day; based on the following pictures, which would you eat?
Interestingly, did you know they have even table hockey on real ice! This game is just like air hockey, except they use real ice as the base instead of air. It looks amazing, and it seems quite easy to make. if it ever dips below freezing where you are, this might be a great project.
Recently, to celebrate publishing its 10,000th article, wiseGEEK has launched a writing contest with $10,000 in cash prizes. Entering the contest is completely free and is open to those aged 18 or over.
WiseGEEK has been publishing professionally written articles covering a wide variety of topics since 2003. With well over two million unique visitors per month, wiseGEEK has become a trusted source for clear and useful information in categories such as Home & Garden, Manufacturing & Industry, and Technology & Gadgets.

Hey, I’ve applied for an apprenticeship in pipefitting/Fabrication and plating and I’ve had two successful intreview’s with two companies wanting to sponsor me for each of the apprenticeships. I can’t decide on what i want to do and which would be best for me. Personally I’d like to do any of them but can you give me information on what’s better in the long run; As in Wages/Job satisfaction and any other relevant things that will include in being a pipefitter/fabricator.
Thank’s, Lee
